3 DAYS TANZANIA BUDGET SAFARI SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK AND NGORONGORO CRATER

Overview

DAY 1: ARUSHA – SERENGETI.

Breakfast at your Arusha Hotel, meet our staff and driver-guide for briefing about the whole trip, leave Arusha for a 6 hours drive to Serengeti National park with lunch en-route. Upon arrival at the main gate have the registration done then with a game drive to the camp which is located at the Central Serengeti. Today you are scheduled for at least 3 hours game drive, then dinner will be served at Seronera Camp followed by overnight at the same camp.

DAY 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER.

Early breakfast at the camp then leave with picnic lunches for a t least 6-hour Game drive within Serengeti National park. Here you will tracker the wildebeest, Zebras, Giraffes, Lions, Lioness, black rhino, Cheetah, Leopard, Hyena, Bushbuck, lesser kudu, wild dog, Kongoni, impala, grant’s gazelle, black-backed jackal, Mongoose, Olive baboons, Vervet Monkeys among other animals are found here and you will be lucky to some of them. By noon leave the park with a stopover at Olduvai Gorge at an extra cost of USD $37 per person. By evening arrive at the conservancy area where you will have dinner and overnight at Simba camp.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER – ARUSHA TOWN.

Breakfast at the camp, then leave for a game drive within the Ngorongoro crater where you will be able to descend with a game drive with the view of Common Lions, African Elephants, Black Rhino, blue wildebeest, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena. Wild dog, Grant’s Zebras, African buffalo, and Hippopotamus at the crater rim. Have the picnic lunch at the crater rim then start ascending to the main gate, exit the crater after the 6 hours and drive to Arusha where you will be dropped at your Arusha Hotel.

Itinerary

DAY 1: NAIROBI – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE.

The tour guide picks you up from your hotel after breakfast, at around 6am to 8 am. The journey to Masai Mara will commence with your first stopover at the Rift valley escapement to view the escapement wall. The second stopover will be at Narok town for any shopping. You later proceed with the trip. You will arrive in Masai Mara and check in at the lodge in time for lunch. After having your lunch head to the park for a brief game drive. Masai Mara is a home for different animal species which includes the big five, which you might get to view. In July, August and September, wild beasts migrate from Serengeti to the Mara, which is a very entertaining view. After the game drive, the guide takes you to the Mara Sopa lodge, where dinner is served and night spent.

DAY 2: THE MARA NATIONAL RESERVE DRIVE.

After breakfast, you will be picked from the lodge at 7:45am for the day’s game drive. The drive will take you through the landscape of the reserve which is savannah grassland on rolling hills. Masai Mara national reserve has good extensive road networks which provide a platform to closely view the wild animals. You will view different kinds of wildlife, vegetation and the beautiful landscape. You will then have a picnic lunch at the Mara river. Continue exploring the park till sunset and later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE – NAKURU.

Have breakfast and proceed for an optional activity of visit to Masai village. The village will give you an opportunity to experience the Masai culture that has been preserved for years. At the village you will only pay $10 per person paid directly at the village. Before 9:00Am get back to the camp and have a full breakfast then proceed to Nakuru while having your lunch enroute. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha and even enjoy an optional fun activity of boat riding. Then finally proceed to Nakuru. Diner and overnight at City Max hotel.

DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK-NAIROBI.

After breakfast you will depart for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru national park as you view different wild species and the numerous birds, later drive to Nairobi with lunch enroute arriving in the afternoon and drop at the Airport.
